More Details Revealed About the All-New 2022 Buick Envista
The all-new 2022 Buick Envista was recently unveiled at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show in China. There, consumers got a first-hand look at Buick’s latest SUV. The question now is whether the new compact crossover SUV will make its way to the United States. In China, Buick is a well-known brand with many consumers purchasing sedans, hatchbacks, and of course SUVs. In the US, Buick offers a limited lineup that consists mostly of crossovers. Despite this, there may be a chance that the U.S market will see the 2022 Envista make its way overseas. This comes from the fact that the Envista name was trademarked in the states. We’re not sure if the 2022 Buick Envista will arrive in the U.S, but we’ll take a look at the new crossover SUV and see what consumers can expect.
2022 Buick Envista Details Revealed
The all-new 2022 Buick Envista was recently unveiled at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show in China. The compact crossover will fit in between the Buick Encore GX and the Buick Envision as part of Buick’s extensive lineup in China. Compared to the United States, Buick offers a minimal amount of crossovers so it is uncertain whether the new Envista will arrive in the states. Buick has not made any comment about this, but seeing as how a trademark was filed for the Envista nameplate, there may be a chance U.S consumers see it make its way overseas.
The 2022 Buick Envista is 182.6-inches long with a 106.3-inch wheelbase. These dimensions put it in between the Encore and the Envision. As for its design, the compact crossover features a sloping roofline that emphasizes the SUV’s luxury status. As one of the best compact luxury brands, it makes sense that Buick would focus on such elements. The SUV also features a sharp front end with slim headlights and a low grille. The Envista also wears the brand’s new logo. For performance, the 2022 Envista arrives with a turbocharged 1.5L inline-four that’s capable of 181 horsepower. This 1.5L engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission.
Inside the Envista, owners will note an interior cabin based on Buick’s Pure Design Philosophy. This philosophy focuses on elegance so the Ensita features a layered dashboard with elegant and flowy lines. This helps accentuate the SUV’s spaciousness. The dashboard also features a special carved area that supports the central control module. Here are where two 10.25-inch screens sit. One is for the digital gauge cluster and the other is for the infotainment screen. Currently, pricing for the 2022 Buick Envista sits at about $22,000 (plus destination fee). Order banks have opened in China, but it still remains to be seen if the compact crossover will make its way overseas. For now, we’ll be staying tuned for more information.
