GMC Canyon Limited Edition Off-Road Trim Sold Out
Upon its release, the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X Edition 1 sold out almost immediately. The third-generation mid-size pickup truck received an all-new redesign that updated its interior and exterior. On top of this, GMC added a new trim called the AT4X for the 2023 Canyon. As part of a limited release, the AT4X Edition 1 is an exclusive version of the mid-size pickup. According to GM vice president Duncan Aldred, the truck sold out in just 10 minutes which speaks to its capability. The exclusive truck comes with all the features of the base AT4X trim, but it includes extra cameras, an integrated winch, bumpers, and more.
While the base Canyon sees several engine choices, the AT4X trim gets a turbocharged 2.7L inline-four engine. This turbo engine delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. It also gives the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X 5,500 pounds of towing capacity. The pickup truck offers 10.7 inches of ground clearance for off-road capability and a 36.9-degree approach angle. For equipment, the AT4X trim sees 33-inch mud-terrain tires, Multimatic spool-valve dampers, and locking front/rear differentials. The new Canyon also has skid plates and a larger transfer case shield to protect underneath the truck. Additional features include drive modes like off-road and Baja modes, which help navigate off-road terrain.
Owners will note the redesigned cabin inside the new Canyon with an Obsidian Rush interior. For technology, the AT4X sees a new digital gauge cluster and an 11-inch diagonal driver display screen. There’s also an 11.3-inch infotainment screen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It lets owners utilize unique features like an off-road performance system. There’s a 6.3-inch head-up display and a 10-view camera system for additional assistance. Starting at an MSRP of 64,795 (plus destination fee), the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X proves to be a highly capable pickup truck. With so much to offer, it’s no surprise the off-road pickup truck sold out so fast.
