The 2024 GMC Sierra HD will arrive with an all-new refresh that will equip the heavy-duty pickup truck with new styling. The 2024 Sierra HD will see the addition of all-new trim, the Denali Ultimate. This trim is one of the highest luxury trims. It will equip the pickup truck with premium materials that will help the Sierra HD stand apart from the competition. Lately, GMC has been updating its lineup and focusing on its electrification efforts. Its latest GMC Hummer EV is set to clash with other EV trucks like the F-150 Lightning. The automaker’s 2024 GMC Sierra HD is also poised to compete with others in its segment. As such, we’ll take a look at the heavy-duty pickup truck and see what consumers can expect.
What To Expect From The 2024 GMC Sierra HD
The 2024 GMC Sierra HD will enter production in February 2023. The heavy-duty pickup truck will arrive with an all-new refresh. While this refresh will update the truck’s styling, its engine options will remain the same. Owners will have the choice of a naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 or a Duramax turbodiesel 6.6L V8. The regular 6.6L V8 will offer 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The turbodiesel 6.6L V8 will offer 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both engines will be paired with a new 10-speed automatic transmission which has replaced the previous 6-speed. For towing capabilities, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD will offer up to 36,000 pounds of towing capacity. The truck will also feature advanced trailering technology.
As for the styling changes, the Sierra HD will feature a revised front fascia. The front grille and bumper will be updated and there will be new exterior paint options. The heavy-duty pickup truck will also see a new Denali Ultimate trim. This luxury trim will equip the pickup truck with premium styling cues. Owners can expect LED projector headlamps, a signature Denali grille, GMC badging, and more. The Sierra HD Denali Ultimate will also feature exclusive 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with power-retractable assist steps. The MultiPro tailgate will also come with an audio system installed.
Looking at the interior of the Sierra HD, owners will note the luxurious alpine umber interior with leather seating and plaited contrast stitching. Drivers will have access to a 12.3-inch diagonal digital driver display and a 15-inch head-up display. For entertainment, there’s a 13.4-inch infotainment screen along with a 12-speaker Bose audio surround sound system. The truck also offers a host of driver-assist and safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, and more. Although pricing has yet to be confirmed, more details about the 2024 GMC Sierra HD will be disclosed once production starts.
